Bathroom and kitchen plumbing

Say how big the change is before you buy anything

A new tap and a moved sink are very different jobs. Use this page to place your bathroom or kitchen change, then send the details the company needs to confirm what it can take on.

Choose your change type

Like-for-like

The new fixture goes where the old one is, using the same pipe positions. It is the simplest change to describe.

  • What is being removed and what is replacing it.
  • Product details for the new item, if chosen.
  • Photos of the current connections.

Moved or new connections

The fixture moves, or something new is added, so pipes or waste must be reached in a new place.

  • Where the fixture is now and where it should go.
  • How far the new position is from existing pipes.
  • Whether floors or walls would need to be opened.

Wider renovation

Plumbing is one part of a larger bathroom or kitchen project involving several trades and a set order of work.

  • Which plumbing tasks you need and which trades handle the rest.
  • Any planned dates or sequence you already have.
  • Plans, drawings or product lists you can share.

How big is your change?

Switch between the three change types in the sheet above to see what to state for each. Pick the closest one; you can correct it in your enquiry.

If the scope grows as plans firm up, say so and the details can be updated.

  • Like-for-like: the same position and connections.
  • Moved or new connections: pipes or waste in a different place.
  • Wider renovation: plumbing is one part of a bigger room project.

What is there now?

A clear picture of the current room helps the scope be understood without guesswork. Photos usually say more than a long description.

  • Which fixtures are in the room and where they sit.
  • Whether the pipes are visible, boxed in or behind tiles.
  • Whether the space under or behind the fixture can be reached.
  • Photos of the fixtures and the pipes beneath or behind them.
Before choosing the finish

Who buys the fixtures?

Say whether you plan to supply the taps, basin, toilet or shower yourself, or want the company to advise. Please share product details before you buy.

FLOWFORGE PLUMBING LTD will confirm compatibility with your existing pipework and who is responsible for the supplied items.

  • Product name, model and a link or datasheet if you have one.
  • Whether the items are bought yet or still being chosen.
  • Any fixing or connection details included in the box.

What about tiling, electrics or drains?

Bathroom and kitchen projects often involve other trades. State which are involved so the plumbing scope can be separated clearly.

Do not assume the company covers tiling, electrical or drainage work; ask in your enquiry and the scope will be confirmed in writing.

  • Which other trades are already booked, if any.
  • Whether the plumbing needs to happen before or after them.
  • Anything you need confirmed, such as a drain or electrical connection.

What should you send?

Send the room, the change type, the existing fixtures, who supplies the products and any other trades involved. The enquiry builder collects these in order.
